A course trusted by
leaders worldwide

I don't have my diploma from the University of Nebraska hanging on my office wall, and I don't have my diploma from Columbia up there either, but I do have my Dale Carnegie graduation certificate proudly displayed.

The Dale Carnegie gave me the most important degree I have, and it's why I'm successful today.

Warren Buffett

Berkshire Hathaway, Chairperson

114 years
From industrial age to the AI age, we've helped people navigate every shift in between.
Human nature hasn't changed. Our methods have, every year since 1912.

What happens in the room

Three days. In-person. No theory. Practice, then feedback, then practice again.

Some of the themes participants work through:

Self-confidence

Step up with confidence,
whatever the situation

Build the confidence to take on moments that used to feel out of reach: new responsibilities, high-stakes rooms, or situations where you've laid back. Leave with an approach that's genuinely yours.

People Skills & Leadership

Win cooperation, with or
without a title

Relate to people who think and work differently to you. Build trust that lead to genuine cooperation, not just compliance. Develop the kind of influence that doesn't depend on your position.

Communication

Make your point land,
whatever the setting

Communicate with impact whether you're in a one-on-one, a team meeting, or in front of a larger room. Pracitce live, in a small group, with facilitator feedback every session.

Resilience & Attitude

Stay constructive when
things get hard

Manage stress before it manages you. Build the mental habits to hold focus when the day stops cooperating and stay sharp even when things don't go to plan.

Built for professionals at every level and stage

Experience level

What makes the Dale Carnegie Course unique is that it works for people of all backgrounds, industries, and levels, wherever they are in their career. The one thing everyone in the room has in common: they're ready for what's next.

How people get there

Some enrol themselves. Others are put forward by their organisation. Either way, the experience is the same: real conversations, real practice, and a small group of people working through the same things. That mix is part of what makes the conversations useful.

The most widely read book on human behaviour ever written.

The principles in "How to Win Friends and Influence People" have shaped the way millions of people approach communication, trust and influence.

The Dale Carnegie Course takes those principles and builds them into something practical for real people in real time which we can use instinctively on a daily basis.

Why this program works

It’s credible

Dale Carnegie is ranked among the top 20 leadership development companies globally, and this flagship course has been run publicly and inside major organisations worldwide since 1912. The methodology has been pressure-tested in real workplaces for over a century.

It’s practical

Every session follows the Performance Change Pathway, our methodology for moving people from awareness through experience into sustained behaviour. Participants bring real situations from work into the room, practise live with a certified facilitator, and leave doing things differently. A 30-day follow-up session keeps the new behaviour in motion.

It’s personalised

Participants work on real situations from their actual jobs, with guidance shaped to fit the person in the room. No two participants walk out with the same set of notes.

What participants are saying

The experience from the facilitator was excellent, engaging content and great real-life applications and workshops made it even better.
David S.
2026
It was engaging, thoughtful, interactive. The facilitator met everyone where they were at and ensured we all stepped out of our comfort zones just a bit in order to grow and knew how to apply everything we were being taught. Shout out to Emily Lane!

I really enjoyed the collaboration aspect and enjoyed how it was eased into, rather than starting really strong. Good for people that are uncomfortable with being in group situations.

High Impact Presentations

Your best ideas,
finally heard.

The structure, delivery and presence that make the difference between a presentation people sit through and one that gets a yes.

Download course guide

The presentation skill most professionals never get taught.

Most people pick up presenting on the job. Watch others. Copy what seems to work. Get through the early presentations on adrenaline and get better at hiding the nerves over time. That route gets to competent. The leap to compelling takes structure and proper coaching, which is what High Impact Presentations is built to give. Two days, one-to-one coaching, and seven filmed presentations, each reviewed in private with a second Trainer.

What most participants pick up before this course
1

A delivery style built by habit, not design

2

A working sense of what doesn't land, with no clear way to fix it

3

A few presenting habits copied from someone else, with no idea
which ones actually help

4

Pressure that quietly gets bigger as audiences get more senior

There are always three speeches... The one you practiced,
the one you gave, and the one you wish you gave.

Dale Carnegie

What happens in the room

Two days. In-person. No lectures. Practice, coached feedback, then practice again

The program is built around these key areas:

First Impressions

Earn the room in the first 30 seconds.

First impressions decide what attention the rest of the presentation gets. Practise openings that pull the audience in fast, and structure credibility so claims hold up under scrutiny.

Clarity

Make complex material land.

Take detailed, technical or layered information and structure it so the audience can follow, remember and use it. Practise it in front of a small group with feedback from a certified coach, every session.

Composure

Stay sharp when the questions get hard.

Hostile questions, shifting agendas, off-script moments handled without losing the thread. Practise the structure that keeps a presenter in control of the conversation, even when the conversation goes sideways.

Action

Move the room to a yes.

Close with a clear ask. Use the Dale Carnegie Magic Formula to structure your case with evidence first, land the action, and name the benefit, whether you're motivating a room, leading people through change, or delivering hard news they need to hear.

Built for professionals who present
and want to do it better

Experience level

Our participants come from across industries and seniority levels. The common thread isn't a job title. It's that they present often, present in rooms that matter, and want to be better at it.

How people get there

Our groups are usually made up of people who've enrolled themselves and others put forward by their organisation. Either way, the experience is the same: real conversations and real practice.

Walking into any presentation knowing the opening will earn the room
Taking complex or technical material and structuring it so the audience follows, remembers and acts on it

Why this program works

Three reasons people pick High Impact Presentations program over the alternatives.

It’s credible

The original Dale Carnegie public speaking course, running since 1912 and still the program major organisations choose for their leaders. Trainers complete more than 150 hours of in-house development before being signed off.

It’s practical

Up to seven recorded presentations per participant, all using real material from each person's actual work. Every one is filmed, watched back, and coached one-to-one before the next attempt.

It’s personalised

Two certified trainers run every cohort. One leads the room, the other coaches one-to-one between presentations, building from each presenter's existing strengths and sharpening what's already there.

What participants are saying

Graham was very knowledgeable. He could adapt very easily to any situation. Eric gave amazing feedback. His analysis of the videos was great.
David K.
2026
Graham helped me understand that a presentation is more about the audience and gave me the tools to make my audience feel more engaged, informed and listened to. The course gave me insights into methods that are practical to use and apply in my presentations.
Charlotte R.
2026
Brilliant Graham and Eric. I learnt so much from you both. Your coaching was invaluable and purposeful. You helped and supported me to change, expanding my comfort zone. Energy extraordinary.
Jason C.
2026
I loved how we got more and more complex, yet with the right coaching and feedback we were able to grow and see actual benefits of the program across both days. I really loved the personas and was challenged by difficult questions, which was a great tool to identify gaps in my own presenting. Really enjoyed the training, thank you!
Kylie B.
2026
Wow! What can I say? I had no idea what I was getting into with joining this High Impact Presentations course. This experience exceeded every one of my expectations. I learned so many things, met some great people, and also some great instructors. I encourage everyone to be a part of this course. It will change your entire view on presenting, and your life.
Sherri B.
2025
It challenged me to think about structure, instead of content. Getting out of my comfort zone helped me see that it is not as bad as it looks. Simplicity of speech and body language can really help boost the delivery of a presentation.
Jameson C.
2025
The pace was good, and the feedback and ability to watch ourselves back after every speaking attempt was really valuable. Taking small incremental steps over 2 days brought great results.

Just so you know

Straight answers to the questions that come up before most.

Who is this course for?

High Impact Presentations is built for working professionals who present at work and want to do it well. That includes managers, business development and sales professionals, technical experts, team leaders, partners, account leads and senior executives. For people earlier in their career or wanting to build broader communication and confidence skills, the Dale Carnegie Course is the better starting point.

What is the format?

Three phases. An online kick-off session before two days in-person. An online sustainment session a few weeks afterwards to lock in the new habits.

Why two trainers?

One trainer runs the room. The second sits with each participant for one-to-one video review between presentations. That coaching ratio is the part most other courses do not have, and it is the part that actually changes how someone presents.

Can multiple people from the same organisation join?

Yes. The course works well for individuals, and equally well for cohorts from the same organisation. Teams that want a bespoke version can run it in-house, with content built around the actual presentations the team is preparing for.

Are payment plans available?

Yes. A deposit plus a payment plan can be arranged on request.

Stop Doing, Start Leading

Leadership starts with a mindset shift.

Two days, 14 leadership competencies, and a personal plan you can use straight away. It's the foundation most leaders never get, whether they've been leading for six months or six years.

The shift we’re rarely prepared for

One day you're doing the work. The next, you're responsible for leading a team, developing a strategy and making business critical decisions.

It can be one of the hardest transitions in any career. Especially now, with so much uncertainty in every market. Leaders are expected to build capability in a workforce being reshaped by technology and social shifts, and still hold things together while it all keeps moving.

Where most leaders get stuck
1

Still doing the work and trying to lead

2

Having difficult conversations while maintaining good relationships

3

Identifying when and how to develop others

4

Being able to delegate effectively

5

Creating the space to do all of this

70%

of the variance in team engagement comes down to the manager.

Gallup, State of the Global Workplace 2026

What happens in the room

Stop Doing, Start Leading is a practical two-day program. In-person. No lectures.

Some of the themes participants work through:

People Development

Develop your team without losing your week

Structure roles and responsibilities around what genuinely energises each person on the team.

Accountability

Build it without micromanaging

Set the conditions for your team to own their work.

Difficult Conversations

Say the things that need saying

Direct performance conversations, done with confidence.

Delegation

Hand things off  in a way that sticks

Free up time to lead instead of just doing.

Built for leaders in the middle of it

Participants come from different industries and organisations, which is part of what makes the conversations so useful.

Experience level

Ideal for people preparing to step into leadership through to those who've been leading for years, all at the point where they're ready to shift from doing the work to building the team around them.

Why this program works

Good training changes what people know. This changes how they lead.

It’s credible

Over 100 years. More than 9 million graduates globally. Delivered by certified facilitators with real leadership experience. Used by organisations including Google, Microsoft, FedEx and Johnson & Johnson.

It's practical

Practice-first sessions focused on the conversations leaders actually have: trust, feedback, accountability, performance. Participants work with real scenarios, practise live, and leave with a clear action plan to apply from day one back on the job.

It's personalised

Participants identify their strengths, blind spots and credibility gaps, then develop a Leadership Impact Plan — a practical guide that keeps working well beyond the two days in the room.

Ela Staniak brought an incredible amount of energy to the training. She encouraged open discussions that sparked great conversations. Participants were able to share their experiences and perspectives in a safe environment, which made the learning experience extremely rich and valuable.

Even though I have taken several graduate level classes in leadership and was always aware of several of these principles, we don't tend to proactively implement them. It's 80% productivity, 20% personality.

The 6 Types of Working Genius is a simple assessment that shows teams where each person does their best work, and where they hit friction. Patrick Lencioni introduced it in 2020 and it has grown quickly since, with more than 1.6 million people completing it worldwide. Teams use it to lead better meetings, work to people's strengths, and put energy where it actually counts.

The model identifies six types of work that sit at the heart of how anything gets done:

Wonder

asking the big questions,
identifying what could be better

Invention

generating new ideas
and original solutions

Discernment

evaluating ideas with instinct
and good judgement

Galvanising

rallying people around an idea
and creating momentum

Enablement

supporting others and
helping plans come to life

Tenacity

pushing through to completion
and getting things done

Everyone has two Geniuses, two Competencies, and two Frustrations.
The first energises. The second drains slowly. The third burns people out.

When a team maps their collective profile, the picture becomes clear fast.

Why Working Genius?

What changes when teams are understood.

Run meetings where everyone knows the contribution they bring and decisions actually get made.

Team energy mapping

A clear picture of where energy sits across the team, and where it's being quietly spent on the wrong work.

More effective meetings

The right people in the right conversations. Everyone else gets their time back.

Improved productivity

Less time in frustration zones means more time on the work that actually moves things.

Connection and belonging

People feel valued when their contribution is understood, not just tolerated.

Bias awareness

What looks like disengagement is often just misalignment. Working Genius gives teams the language to tell the difference.

It is teamwork that remains the ultimate competitive advantage, both because it is so powerful and so rare.

— Patrick Lencioni

Straight answers to the questions that
come up before most people get started.

What is the Six Types of Working Genius Assessment?

The Six Types of Working Genius Assessment is a productivity tool developed by Patrick Lencioni and the Table Group. It identifies which of six fundamental work activities (Wonder, Invention, Discernment, Galvanising, Enablement, and Tenacity) energise each person, which they can manage but find draining over time, and which lead to frustration. Unlike personality tests, it's designed to be applied directly to how teams work, plan, meet, and make decisions. Over 1.6 million people across 100+ countries have completed it.

What does the report identify?

Each participant receives a personalised report identifying three things. Their two Working Geniuses, where they naturally thrive and feel energised. Their two Working Competencies, where they can perform but it costs them over time. And their two Working Frustrations, where sustained effort leads to weariness and disengagement. The report also includes practical guidance on applying these insights within a team context.

How long does the assessment take?

The assessment contains 42 statements and takes around 10 to 15 minutes to complete.

How is Working Genius different from other assessments?

Most workplace assessments, including DiSC, Myers-Briggs, and StrengthsFinder, focus on personality or behavioural style. Working Genius focuses specifically on the type of work that energises or drains each person, and applies that understanding directly to how teams collaborate, run meetings, delegate tasks, and complete projects. It's part personality assessment, part productivity tool. The result is a shared language teams can actually use day to day, not just a report that gets filed away.

Can assessments be purchased in bulk for a whole team?

Yes. Assessments can be purchased for an entire team. Get in touch to discuss team pricing and how to get started.

Can Working Genius workshops run online or in person?

Both. Workshops are available live online or in person, onsite at the organisation's location or offsite. Format, duration, and delivery are all flexible depending on what the team needs. Download the workshop brochure for more details on available options or get in touch.

Is Working Genius part of a broader development program?

It can be. For many organisations, the Working Genius workshop is a starting point that connects naturally to broader capability-building work. Dale Carnegie Australia offers a range of solutions across leadership, communication, team development, and culture that build on the self-awareness the Working Genius model creates. The assessment doesn't have to sit in isolation.

We've already run assessments internally.
Can Dale Carnegie still facilitate a workshop?

Yes. If a team has already completed the Working Genius Assessment, we can facilitate a workshop using those existing results. Get in touch to discuss what that looks like for the team.

Most people who get this far already have something specific in mind.
